# BananaEA Version 4

RETIRED VERSION — Effective August 31, 2026

**Banana EA Version 4 (`v4.5.1`) reached End-of-Life on August 31, 2026.**<br />Active support and development for Version 4 have concluded. All users are required to upgrade to **[Banana EA Version 6.0](/banana-ea/mt4/docs/v6.md)** (the final MT4 release line) or migrate to **[Banana EA MT5](/banana-ea/mt5/docs/intro.md)**.

Version 4 and Version 5 can be installed in the same MT4 terminal, but they must be run on separate charts with version-specific presets and intentional Magic Numbers.

## Version 4 Install Path[​](#version-4-install-path "Direct link to Version 4 Install Path")

The stable Version 4 EA file uses the existing MT4 path:

```
MQL4\Experts\BananaEA.ex4
```

Use Version 4 `.set` files only with Version 4. Version 5 `.set` files are not compatible with Version 4, and Version 4 `.set` files are not compatible with Version 5.
