# AI And Machine Learning

This page covers AI-related settings in BananaEA, if present in your version.

AI settings are optional filters. They should be tested before use and should not be treated as financial advice.

## Common Setting[](#common-setting "Direct link to Common Setting")

`MinimumAIConfidence`

Controls the minimum confidence value required for an AI-scored signal to pass.

Typical behavior:

* Lower value: fewer AI rejections.
* Higher value: more AI rejections.
* Too high: the EA may stop trading because too few signals pass.

## When To Use It[](#when-to-use-it "Direct link to When To Use It")

Use this setting only after the normal EA setup is working.

Recommended order:

1. Install and attach the EA.
2. Load the preset or base settings.
3. Confirm ordinary signals and trade management work.
4. Run a backtest.
5. Adjust AI settings only after you understand the baseline behavior.

## How To Test[](#how-to-test "Direct link to How To Test")

1. Run a test with AI filtering off or at default.
2. Record trade count, drawdown, and any errors.
3. Run the same test with a changed confidence value.
4. Compare results.
5. Forward test on demo.

## Troubleshooting[](#troubleshooting "Direct link to Troubleshooting")

If the EA stops taking trades after changing this setting:

* Lower `MinimumAIConfidence`.
* Confirm the normal signal toggles are enabled.
* Confirm trading hours and spread filters are not blocking trades.
* Check the Experts tab for rejection messages.
