## Scaling & Re-Entry Cooldown Rules[](#scaling--re-entry-cooldown-rules "Direct link to Scaling & Re-Entry Cooldown Rules")

Version 6.0 introduces strict protection for fresh entries while preserving management flexibility for existing open trades:

### Fresh Signal Entries[](#fresh-signal-entries "Direct link to Fresh Signal Entries")

* Evaluated against `MaxConsecutiveLosses` and `ConsecLossCooldownMinutes`.
* If either condition is active, **fresh entries are blocked**.

### Scale-In Positions (Exempt from Cooldown)[](#scale-in-positions-exempt-from-cooldown "Direct link to Scale-In Positions (Exempt from Cooldown)")

* **Scale-Ins are exempt** from the post-loss cooldown (`ConsecLossCooldownMinutes`).
* If an existing position is open and a valid scale-in setup fires in the same direction, the scale-in order is allowed even if a prior closed trade triggered a cooldown timer.
* **Rationale**: Cooldown is designed to stop emotional re-entries into *new* trades after a loss, not to restrict automated management of an ongoing, validated strategy position.

## Multi-Level Partial Closes & The Virtual Ladder[](#multi-level-partial-closes--the-virtual-ladder "Direct link to Multi-Level Partial Closes & The Virtual Ladder")

Banana EA v6 supports up to 3 partial close stages (PC1, PC2, PC3) managed dynamically in memory:

1. **PC1 (Partial Close 1)**: In standard presets, closes 25% of the position at **3R** (`PC_Value = 3.0`) and moves the Stop Loss to Break-Even (`BE_Value = 3.0`).
2. **PC2 (Partial Close 2)**: Closes 25% of the remaining position at **10R** (`PC_Level2_Value = 10.0`).
3. **PC3 (Partial Close 3)**: Closes 25% of the remaining position at **15R** (`PC_Level3_Value = 15.0`).
4. **Dynamic Trailing Stop**: Trailing stop engages after **10R** (`Trail_ActivationValue = 10.0`) to ride extended trend momentum.

## 🎯 Hard Broker TP (23R) vs. Virtual Partial Closes[](#-hard-broker-tp-23r-vs-virtual-partial-closes "Direct link to 🎯 Hard Broker TP (23R) vs. Virtual Partial Closes")

Traders often ask why their MetaTrader chart displays a single red dashed Take Profit line at **23R**:

* **Broker Limitation**: A MetaTrader 4 broker ticket can only store **one single server-side Take Profit price**.
* **Wide Safety / Runner Target (23R)**: In default presets, `TP_Value` is set to `23.0` (23R) as a catastrophic home-run runner ceiling.
* **Virtual Multi-Stage Closes**: The intermediate profit targets (**3R, 10R, 15R**) are managed internally by the EA upon price tick arrival. When price touches 3R, the EA issues a partial-close order on MT4 to bank profits and move your stop to Break-Even.

## 🛡️ Break-Even Stop Loss & Commission Friction[](#️-break-even-stop-loss--commission-friction "Direct link to 🛡️ Break-Even Stop Loss & Commission Friction")

When Break-Even activates:

1. The EA modifies the trade's Stop Loss to the **exact entry open price**.
2. **Commission Friction**: If price reverses and hits the entry price, normal broker commission and spread friction can cause the trade to close with a small negative balance (e.g. `-$0.50`).
3. **Cooldown Interaction**: Because MetaTrader reports closed profit `< $0.00`, the consecutive-loss circuit breaker counts it as a loss.
4. **Best Practice**: Taking **PC1 at 3R** locks in 25% profit beforehand, ensuring the entire trade sequence finishes with strong net profit even if the remainder exits at Break-Even.
