FAQ
Which platforms are covered?
This FAQ covers The Banana Indicator product family. For setup, settings, alerts, and troubleshooting, use the platform-specific MT4, MT5, or TradingView guide.
Is the TradingView indicator installed like MetaTrader?
No. TradingView uses an invite-only script. You need access granted to your TradingView account, then you can use the script on a chart.
Where do I get the installer or access link?
Use the official download or access link from your member area, purchase email, or support team.
Why does Windows warn me about the installer?
The MetaTrader installer may show a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning because it is not code-signed.
If the installer came from your official iTradeAIMS member area, purchase email, or support team, this warning can be expected.
To continue from the Windows protected your PC screen:
- Click
More info. - Check that the app is the The Banana Indicator MT5 installer for MT5, or the Banana Indicator installer for MT4.
- Click
Run anyway.
Do not disable Windows Defender. If Windows reports a virus, quarantines the file, or you did not get the installer from an official iTradeAIMS source, stop and contact support.
What is the license key input?
MetaTrader versions use the SerialKey input. Enter your license key exactly as issued.
TradingView access is handled through TradingView invite-only permission instead.
What does Error 100 License Key Required mean?
It means the MetaTrader indicator is attached to the chart, but the license key is empty or was not found in the indicator Inputs.
Open the indicator settings, enter your license key, then click OK. If the alert remains, remove and reattach the indicator.
Where should I install the MetaTrader version?
Install into the MetaTrader data folder.
Open the terminal you want to use, then click:
File > Open Data Folder
Select that same folder when the installer asks for an install location.
Can I use the indicator on more than one MetaTrader terminal?
If your license allows it, run the installer once for each terminal and select that terminal's own data folder.
Each broker terminal has its own data folder.
Why can I not see the indicator in Navigator?
Usually one of these is true:
- MetaTrader needs to be restarted or Navigator refreshed.
- The installer was pointed at a different terminal's data folder.
- You are looking under the wrong Navigator section.
Check Navigator > Indicators > iTradeAIMS.
Why are there no signals?
No signals can be normal. The indicator only marks a pattern when conditions are met.
Also check:
- The market is open.
- The chart is receiving data.
- License is accepted.
- Signal visibility is not hidden.
- Pause new signal generation is off.
Should I take every signal?
No. A signal is a prompt to review the chart.
Before acting, check market direction, support and resistance, spread, news, stop placement, and your own trading plan.
Do signals mean automatic trading?
No. The Banana Indicator is a chart indicator. It does not place trades for you.
How do I set alerts?
MetaTrader alerts are controlled by indicator settings and the MetaTrader platform settings.
TradingView alerts are created from TradingView's alert menu after the indicator is on the chart.
Should I join the Discord community?
Yes. Discord is not only for support tickets.
Use the community to ask setup questions, compare platform notes, see common beginner issues, and stay aware of product updates. It is especially useful if you are new to MT4, MT5, TradingView, or Banana Indicator.

What should beginners change first?
Keep settings simple.
Useful first settings:
- SerialKey, if required.
- Show/Hide Main Dashboard.
- Alert settings.
- Signal visibility, only if the chart is too busy.
- Display EMA lines on chart, only if you want EMA context.
Avoid advanced filters while learning.
Is the indicator financial advice?
No. The Banana Indicator is not financial advice and does not recommend that you buy or sell. You are responsible for your trading decisions and risk management.
