# Signals & Chart Anatomy

**AIMS Entry Alert** (The Setup) identifies high-velocity trend breakouts by detecting moving average crossings across the Alligator Lips and classifying them into **Setup 1 (S1)** and **Setup 2 (S2)**.

The indicator classifies signals based on structural fractal boundaries:



### 1. Setup 1 (S1) — Inside-the-Box Early Entries[​](#1-setup-1-s1--inside-the-box-early-entries "Direct link to 1. Setup 1 (S1) — Inside-the-Box Early Entries")

* **Concept**: Price crosses the Alligator Lips line but has not yet breached the outer fractal barrier.
* **Bullish S1**: `Candle High <= Previous Upper Fractal`. Plotted as a thin Dodger Blue Up Arrow (Wingdings `#140`).
* **Bearish S1**: `Candle Low >= Previous Lower Fractal`. Plotted as a thin Red Down Arrow (Wingdings `#140`).
* **Advantage**: Provides the earliest possible entry with the tightest stop loss and largest risk-reward potential.

* **Concept**: Price crosses the Lips line AND breaks out past the structural fractal ceiling or floor.
* **Bullish S2**: `Candle High > Previous Upper Fractal`. Plotted as a bold Lime Green Up Arrow (Wingdings `#141`).
* **Bearish S2**: `Candle Low < Previous Lower Fractal`. Plotted as a bold Deep Pink Down Arrow (Wingdings `#141`).
* **Advantage**: High-momentum confirmation suited for conservative trend followers.

## Warning Dots (Invalidated Setups)[​](#warning-dots-invalidated-setups "Direct link to Warning Dots (Invalidated Setups)")

When a moving average cross occurs but fails one of the strict filtration gates, the indicator suppresses the arrow and prints an informative warning dot:

* **Black Dot (`clrDarkGoldenrod`, Buffer 5)**: The setup failed the **Purple Trend Line** or **S0** structural alignment gate. Signals trading directly into the Purple line are high risk.
* **Grey Dot (`clrSlateGray`, Buffer 4)**: The setup failed the **AO Threshold** or **Box Pips** gate. Indicates overbought/oversold exhaustion or an excessively wide risk box.
