A "Cherry" represents an institutional liquidity probe—a rapid sweep of a recent swing high or low that fails to sustain follow-through and closes aggressively back inside:



### Bullish Cherry Characteristics:[​](#bullish-cherry-characteristics "Direct link to Bullish Cherry Characteristics:")

* **Liquidity Sweep**: Bar Low pierces below the previous bar's Low (`Low[0] < Low[1]`).
* **Structural Extreme**: Bar Low is the lowest low across the lookback period (`Low[0] <= Lowest_X`, default 3 bars).
* **Midpoint Rejection**: Bar closes firmly in the upper half of its total range (`Close[0] > Midpoint[0]`).
* **Volatility Cap**: Bar range remains `<= 10` pips on M1, or `<= 3.0 * ATR(60)` on higher timeframes.

* **Liquidity Sweep**: Bar High pierces above the previous bar's High (`High[0] > High[1]`).
* **Structural Extreme**: Bar High is the highest high across the lookback period (`High[0] >= Highest_X`, default 3 bars).
* **Midpoint Rejection**: Bar closes firmly in the lower half of its total range (`Close[0] < Midpoint[0]`).
* **Volatility Cap**: Within maximum ATR expansion bounds.

To eliminate counter-trend wicks that form against the prevailing session bias:

* **🔵 Buy Cherry**: Must form with its High/Close above the Daily Open Line (`Low > OpenLine`, or `High > OpenLine` and `Close >= OpenLine`).

  

  * Renders a small native Blue Arrow (Wingdings `#241` ▲) below the candle.
  * Projects entry line at `High + InpBufferPips` and SL at `Low - InpBufferPips`.

* **🔴 Sell Cherry**: Must form with its Low/Close below the Daily Open Line (`High < OpenLine`, or `Low < OpenLine` and `Close < OpenLine`).

  

  * Renders a small native Red Arrow (Wingdings `#242` ▼) above the candle.
  * Projects entry line at `Low - InpBufferPips` and SL at `High + InpBufferPips`.
