## Open settings[](#open-settings "Direct link to Open settings")

1. Click the **gear** icon on the strategy in the chart legend.
2. Open the **Inputs** tab.
3. Change one group at a time — reset if the chart becomes hard to read.

## Settings philosophy[](#settings-philosophy "Direct link to Settings philosophy")

Defaults are tuned for a **first meaningful backtest** on Nasdaq-100 context. Common mistakes:

* Changing too many inputs before you understand entries and exits on chart.
* Optimizing in Strategy Tester before confirming symbol, timeframe, and session match your plan.
* Comparing results to **AIMS Algo** — separate strategy product with different logic.

## What to document when you change inputs[](#what-to-document-when-you-change-inputs "Direct link to What to document when you change inputs")

If you contact support or compare backtests, note:

* Symbol and timeframe (Nasdaq-100 mapping).
* Strategy Tester date range.
* Which inputs changed from default.
* Screenshot of **Inputs** and **Overview** tabs.
