Signals & Chart Anatomy

AIMS The Hunt (Dot) identifies high-probability trend-continuation triggers by detecting Inside Bars that form precisely within active Grant's AO momentum zones.

Signal Logic & Filtration Hierarchy

1. Inside Bar Qualification

The candidate bar must be completely engulfed within the range of the preceding mother bar: High[0] <= High[1] and Low[0] >= Low[1].

2. Volatility & Bar Range Gate

To eliminate erratic spikes during economic news releases:

  • On M1: Bar range (High - Low) must be <= InpMaxPipsM1 pips.
  • On >M1: Bar range must be <= ATR(60) * InpMaxATRRatio.

3. Grant's Zone Momentum Alignment

  • Bullish Dot: Evaluated only when Grant's Long Zone is active on the Awesome Oscillator.
  • Bearish Dot: Evaluated only when Grant's Short Zone is active.

4. "Look For Better" Pullback Optimization

When InpLookForBetter = true:

  • If consecutive inside bars appear during a pullback, the indicator requires each successive bullish inside bar to have a lower high than the previous one. This ensures you enter at a superior pullback discount price.
  • For bearish inside bars, it requires a higher low.

5. Multi-Layer Trend Filtration

  • Purple MA Filter (InpFilterPurple): Price must close above the Purple MA (SMMA 34, shift 21) for Bullish signals, or below for Bearish signals.
  • Gator Filter (InpFilterGator): Price must close above the Alligator Lips line (SMMA 5, shift 3) for Bullish signals, or below for Bearish signals.
  • Channel Filter (InpFilterChannel): Optional envelope filter to confirm breakout expansion.
