AIMS Momentum Indicator (MT4)

AIMS Momentum is a trend expansion and impulsion indicator designed to capture the highest-velocity phases of market structure: Wave 3 and Wave 5 trend moves.

By tracking dynamic candle closes across the Alligator Teeth (Red Line) and Alligator Lips (Green Line) with zero-lag oscillator confirmation, AIMS Momentum alerts traders the exact moment a market transitions from sleepy consolidation into explosive directional expansion.

What Problem Does It Solve?

In trend trading, entering too early during a consolidation leads to multiple whipsaw stopouts, while entering too late destroys risk-reward ratios.

AIMS Momentum solves this by enforcing strict mechanical momentum breakout gates:

  • Identifies when candles cleanly clear the Alligator framework.
  • Verifies zero-lag momentum alignment before plotting breakout arrows.
  • Alerts traders on closed candles with zero repaint.

Core Features at a Glance

  • Teeth & Lips Breakout Logic: Directional signals trigger when price closes past the critical Alligator moving average boundaries.
  • Zero-Lag Momentum Confirmation: Filters out false retests during low-volatility dead zones.
  • Buffer Architecture for Automation: Plugs seamlessly into Expert Advisors via standard iCustom buffers.
  • Universal Multi-Market Utility: Calibrated across Forex majors (EURUSD H1), Equity Indices (NAS100 H1), and Commodities (Gold, Oil).
  • Complete Alert Infrastructure: Desktop alerts, mobile push notifications, and email integration.

4-Step Quickstart

  1. Installation: Copy AIMSMomentum.ex4 into your MT4 terminal's MQL4/Indicators/ directory and refresh the Navigator.
  2. Chart Setup: Attach AIMS Momentum to an H1 chart alongside the AIMS Alligator and AIMS Wave.
  3. Parameter Check: Keep InpFilterAlligator = true to ensure signals only trigger when the Alligator mouth is sleeping or newly opening.
  4. Execution Protocol: Wait for the breakout signal candle to close. Align with higher-timeframe trend direction before executing trades.
