Session & Day Settings

Trading time windows

Enable Trading Hours Control (default true) restricts the EA to specific time windows. When false, the EA monitors and trades around the clock.

Two sessions are configurable independently:

Session 1

Default window: 10:00 – 13:00 — London morning session.

Session 2

Session 2 Start Minute15Start minute
Session 2 End Hour17End hour
Session 2 End Minute45End minute

Default window: 16:15 – 17:45 — London/New York overlap.

Broker server time

All session times are in your broker's server time, which may be GMT, GMT+2, or GMT+3 depending on your broker. Check the time shown in the MT5 Market Watch to confirm the offset, and adjust sessions accordingly.

Day-of-week filter

Enable Day-of-Week Filter (default true) restricts trading to specific days:

InputDefault

Trade Tuesdaytrue
Trade Wednesdaytrue
Trade Thursdaytrue
Trade Fridaytrue
Trade Sundaytrue

Disabling Friday avoids end-of-week spread widening. Disabling Sunday avoids low-liquidity market opens.

Session status on the dashboard

The dashboard shows session status in real time:

  • Active — within a session window; the EA will act on signals
  • Inactive — outside session windows; signals are scanned but no orders are placed
