BananaEA Version 4
These pages cover the stable BananaEA Version 4 documentation path. The latest stable Version 4 release is v4.5.1.
Version 4 remains supported for customers who want to keep existing MT4 terminals, VPS installations, live workflows, and strategy performance unchanged. You do not need to move to Version 5 immediately if Version 4 is already running correctly for your account.
If you are still using Version 4, plan a controlled move to Version 5 at a convenient time. Version 5 is the current BananaEA release and includes a broader feature set, a more advanced signal-generation engine, expanded risk controls, and a substantially improved trade-management workflow.
Version 5 is designed to help users manage trades more systematically, filter trade conditions more carefully, and apply more disciplined exit, scaling, trailing, and drawdown controls. These improvements can support better decision quality and risk control, but they do not remove trading risk or guarantee profitable results.
Keep your current Version 4 charts unchanged while you test Version 5 on a separate chart, demo account, or Strategy Tester workflow. Start with the Version 5 install and upgrade guide.
Version 4 and Version 5 can be installed in the same MT4 terminal, but they must be run on separate charts with version-specific presets and intentional Magic Numbers.

The stable Version 4 EA file uses the existing MT4 path:
MQL4\Experts\BananaEA.ex4
Use Version 4 .set files only with Version 4. Version 5 .set files are not compatible with Version 4, and Version 4 .set files are not compatible with Version 5.
