Version 5 FAQ
Is Version 4 Being Discontinued?
No. Version 4 remains stable and supported. The latest stable Version 4 release is v4.5.1.
Which Version Should I Use?
Use Version 5 if you want the current release, Smart Risk Monitor, challenge-style protections, and the updated trade-management workflow.
Use Version 4 if your current Version 4 setup is stable and you do not want to change strategy behavior yet.
Can Version 4 And Version 5 Be Installed Together?
Yes. They can be installed in the same MT4 terminal. Run them on separate charts with version-specific presets and intentional Magic Numbers.
Do They Use The Same License Key?
Yes. The customer download/package experience uses the same license key and DLMS product code for the stable Version 4 option and the current Version 5 release.
Can I Use My Old Version 4 Set Files In Version 5?
No. Version 4 .set files and Version 5 .set files are not interchangeable.
Will Version 5 Match My Version 4 Results?
Not necessarily. Version 5 changes trade management, scaling, filters, pending-order behavior, and risk controls. Backtest and demo test Version 5 as a separate setup.
What Risk Features Does Version 5 Include?
Version 5 includes account risk controls such as daily drawdown caps, profit locks, and loss streak circuit breakers. The EA does not guarantee profitability and is compatible with any MT4 broker.
Is There An MT5 Version?
Version 5 is the foundation for future MT5 work, but this GitBook does not include MT5 user setup instructions yet.
