Use this checklist after Version 5 is installed.

This walkthrough covers the first-chart setup below. The written checklist has the same steps if you prefer to read.

First Chart Setup

1. Open a fresh MT4 chart for the symbol and timeframe you want to test.
2. Drag the Version 5 EA from Expert Advisors > iTradeAIMS onto the chart.
3. Enter your license key in the License Key input.
4. Load a Version 5 .set file.
5. Confirm Magic Number is not accidentally shared with an active Version 4 chart unless that is intentional.
6. Confirm AutoTrading is enabled only when you are ready.
7. Start on demo or Strategy Tester before using a live account.

Preset Rule

Do not load Version 4 presets into Version 5. Version 5 inputs, trade management, scaling, filters, and risk controls have changed.

Same Terminal, Separate Charts

Version 4 and Version 5 can run in the same MT4 terminal, but keep them separated:

• one EA version per chart
• version-specific .set files
• intentional Magic Numbers
• clear chart names or templates so you know which version is active

First Validation

Before live use, check:

• the EA is licensed
• the loaded preset name is correct
• the symbol and timeframe match the preset purpose
• the Smart Risk Monitor settings match your risk plan
• the day-of-week and session filters allow trading at the expected times
• no protection rule is blocking entries unexpectedly
