Pepperstone Broker Notes

This page records neutral setup notes for traders who use Pepperstone with BananaEA.

It is not a recommendation to open an account, and it does not claim that Pepperstone will produce better trading results. Always verify conditions on your own account.

What To Check

For Pepperstone MT4 accounts, confirm:

  • Server name
  • Account type
  • Symbol name, such as GER40, GER40.r, US30, or broker-specific variants
  • Spread during the session you intend to trade
  • Contract size
  • Tick value
  • Minimum lot and lot step
  • Stop level and freeze level

Strategy Tester Notes

When backtesting:

  • Use the same symbol name that appears in Market Watch.
  • Download or refresh historical data before testing.
  • Prefer Pepperstone MT4 server history for the exact symbol and server. Generic DAX or Germany 40 data is not the same as Pepperstone CFD history.
  • Use realistic spread and commission assumptions.
  • Save the Strategy Tester report if you need support.
  • Do not treat one broker backtest as a live performance forecast.

Demo Test

Before live use:

  1. Attach BananaEA to the intended symbol.
  2. Load the correct .set file, if using one.
  3. Use a small risk setting.
  4. Confirm order placement and stop levels on demo.
  5. Review Experts and Journal tabs for errors.
