Performance And User Experience

This page explains the EA features that affect platform responsiveness, chart clarity, and day-to-day operation. It does not provide performance promises. Results and execution quality depend on broker conditions, account type, VPS/computer performance, symbol, spread, and settings.

Platform Responsiveness

BananaEA is designed to avoid unnecessary repeated work where possible. For example, some calculations are updated on new bars or when settings change instead of being recalculated for every small market movement.

What this means for users:

  • MT4 should remain easier to monitor during testing.
  • The Experts and Journal tabs should be easier to read when debug logging is disabled.
  • Broker modification requests can be reduced when smart trailing settings are used.

Chart Display

Visual settings help you keep the chart readable:

  • Show or hide entry markers.
  • Adjust chart object colors.
  • Use comments or dashboard information for quick status checks.
  • Keep screenshots clear when asking for support.

Logging

Use logs when diagnosing a setup issue, then turn debug logging off during normal use.

Recommended workflow:

  1. Enable debug logging only while testing a problem.
  2. Reproduce the issue on demo or in Strategy Tester.
  3. Save the Experts and Journal messages.
  4. Turn debug logging off again once the issue is understood.

Practical Checks

If MT4 feels slow or crowded:

  • Reduce the number of open charts.
  • Avoid running several heavy indicators on the same chart.
  • Use a VPS or computer with stable resources.
  • Disable debug logging when you do not need it.
  • Restart MT4 after updating files or presets.

Support Notes

When asking for help, include:

  • BananaEA version
  • Broker and account type
