Ongoing Operation Checklist

Use this page after BananaEA is installed and running on demo or live. The goal is to keep your process consistent and avoid making large changes without evidence.

Weekly Checks

  • Confirm the EA is running on the intended symbol and timeframe.
  • Check that AutoTrading is enabled.
  • Review the Experts and Journal tabs for repeated errors.
  • Confirm spread, session, and broker execution are within normal conditions.
  • Save or export backtest and live results before changing settings.

Monthly Checks

  • Review drawdown, trade count, average win, average loss, and profit factor.
  • Compare live/demo behavior against recent backtests.
  • Check whether optimization sets or product files have been updated in the customer portal.
  • Confirm your VPS or trading computer has stayed online during trading hours.
  • Keep a short log of setting changes and the reason for each change.

Scaling Rules

Do not increase risk because of a small sample of winning trades. Review risk only after a longer observation period and only if drawdown, execution, and trade behavior match your expectations.

Before increasing position size:

  • Test the current setup on demo or small size.
  • Confirm broker specifications and margin requirements.
  • Increase gradually.
  • Return to the previous size if drawdown or execution changes become uncomfortable.

When To Pause

Pause the EA and review settings if:

  • The EA opens trades on the wrong symbol or timeframe.
  • Lot sizes do not match the expected risk.
  • Drawdown exceeds your personal limit.
  • The broker changes contract size, margin rules, or trading conditions.
  • You see repeated license, library, or trade execution errors.

Record Keeping

Keep records simple:

  • Date of setting change
  • Symbol and timeframe
  • Preset or .set file used
  • Account type and broker
  • Backtest period
  • Live/demo observation notes

Consistent records make support requests easier and help you avoid repeating the same setup mistakes.
