Daily Use Checklist

Use this checklist before relying on The Setup Indicator MT5 during a trading session.

Before The Session

Check:

  • MT4 or MT5 is connected.
  • The correct symbol and timeframe are open.
  • The indicator is attached to the chart.
  • The license is accepted.
  • The MT4 mini dashboard is visible, or the AIMS Confluence Indicator dashboard is visible and in Box mode on MT5.
  • Boxes or Show Boxes is set the way you want.
  • Show Active Box Signal Levels or Signal Levels is set the way you want.
  • Alert settings are tested if your platform version exposes alert controls and you plan to use them.

When A Setup Appears

Check:

  1. Is the candle closed?
  2. Is the box confirmed?
  3. Is the box height acceptable?
  4. Is the setup ready, closed, or blocked?
  5. Do Gator, Purple, ATR Box, spread, and news context agree?
  6. Does the stop distance fit your risk plan?
  7. Does the setup match your trading plan?

If The Chart Gets Busy

Simplify:

  • Hide extra indicators.
  • Collapse AIMS Confluence Indicator dashboard sections you are not using.
  • Use a smaller AIMS Confluence Indicator dashboard scale where available.
  • On MT4, reduce Maximum History Bars to 500 for live chart use, or 300 if the chart is still laggy.
  • Keep only the alerts you need.
  • Return to defaults if you are unsure what changed.

If you are backtesting or scrolling far back on MT4, increase Maximum History Bars again. Lower live-chart values can stop older boxes from appearing when you move beyond the selected history limit.

After The Session

Review:

  • Which setup states appeared.
  • Which blocked states helped you avoid poor conditions.
  • Whether alerts were useful or distracting.
  • Whether any settings need to be reset before the next session.

Do not adjust settings only because of one trade outcome. Make changes after reviewing enough examples to justify the change.
