Troubleshoot MT4

Use this page for The Banana Indicator MT4 issues.

Indicator Does Not Appear In Navigator

  1. Open MT4.
  2. Select File > Open Data Folder.
  3. Confirm the installer used that exact folder.
  4. Confirm the folder contains MQL4.
  5. Restart MT4 or refresh Navigator.

Do not install the MT4 indicator into an MQL5 folder.

Indicator Does Not Attach

Check:

  • The file was installed into the MT4 data folder.
  • Your license key is entered correctly if required.
  • Internet access is available for license checks.
  • The Experts tab does not show a repeated loading, permission, or dependency error.
  • The chart symbol and timeframe are open before attaching the indicator.

Dashboard Or Panel Does Not Appear

Check:

  • The dashboard display setting is enabled.
  • The indicator is attached to the correct chart.
  • The chart does not show a license, dependency, or setup error.

Signals Or Alerts Do Not Appear

Check:

  • The chart has enough recent price history loaded.
  • The timeframe and symbol are the ones you intend to review.
  • Signal visibility and alert settings are enabled.
  • Filter settings have not hidden every signal.
  • MT4 is open while alerts are expected.

If the issue remains, send:

  • Product name: The Banana Indicator MT4
  • MetaTrader version and broker server name.
  • Windows version.
  • Chart symbol and timeframe.
  • Screenshot of the chart.
  • Screenshot of the Experts tab if an error appears.
  • The exact error message.
