Troubleshoot MT5
Use this page for The Banana Indicator MT5 issues.
Indicator Does Not Appear In Navigator
- Open MT5.
- Select
File > Open Data Folder. - Confirm the installer used that exact folder.
- Confirm the folder contains
MQL5. - Restart MT5 or refresh Navigator.
Do not install the MT5 indicator into an MQL4 folder.
Indicator Does Not Attach
Check:
- The file was installed into the MT5 data folder.
- Your license key is entered correctly if required.
- Internet access is available for license checks.
- The Experts tab does not show a repeated loading, permission, or dependency error.
- The chart symbol and timeframe are open before attaching the indicator.
Dashboard Or Panel Does Not Appear
Check:
- The dashboard display setting is enabled.
- The indicator is attached to the correct chart.
- The chart is not hidden behind another window or template layer.
- The chart does not show a license, dependency, or setup error.
Signals Do Not Appear
Check:
- The chart has enough recent price history loaded.
- The timeframe and symbol are the ones you intend to review.
- Signal visibility settings are enabled.
- Filter settings have not hidden every signal.
Alerts Do Not Fire
Use MT5 alerts first, then check:
- MT5 is open.
- The alert setting is enabled.
- Terminal notification settings are configured.
- The Experts tab does not show an error when the signal occurs.

- Product name:
